Night in Apollo 11 Space Capsule

On our second night in the Twizel area we stayed in a unique Airbnb accommodation. That accommodation was the Apollo 11 Space Capsule. Well, maybe not the real one, but a good looking replica!

The constructed replica Apollo 11 space capsule is rented by a friendly gentleman named Peter through Airbnb. That night we luckily had an amazing sunset and could see a spectacular sky of stars through the ceiling skylight while lying in our bed in the space capsule. This area is renowned as a dark skies reserve because of the lack of light pollution, enabling great night sky observing. When it got fully dark the sky was memorizing with a stunning volume of stars and other astronomical entities.
